Cheltenham Wedding Fair
Well today was one of the biggest wedding fairs so far for me this year. This wedding fair was at the Town Hall in Cheltenham.
The turnout was really good and was kept extremely busy at my stand. I met some lovely brides to be and cannot wait to start making their jewellery and tiaras.
I will be adding (hopefully) new pieces to the website this week, so hope you will really like them. I absolutely love making jewellery and tiaras, good job really!!! It is even more satisfying when the person I've made it for absolutely loves it!!! It makes me feel so good knowing I've made someone really happy!!!

Well the colours (bridesmaids or theme) for this year are:
- Blue - Sapphire and Teal / Turquoise
- Purple - all different shades (cadbury purple most popular)
- Fushia
- Black & White
Themes
There are many themes for 2010, quite similar to 2009, these include:
- Vintage (think that fab haircomb worn by Cheryl Cole on X Factor)
- Hollywood Glamour
- Retro
Tiaras / Jewellery
2010 is the year for statement headpieces and jewellery. Don't be afraid to try things on and see if they will suit you, you will be surprised.
2010 is definately a year of elegance and glamour (which I love). Birdcage veils, vintage headbands, side haircombs. Swarovski Crystals, feathers, lace, netting, etc. Look out on my website for new pieces.
Don't forget I specialise in creating bespoke items, so if you have a theme or an idea, share it with me and make into reality. Contact me at mail@jewellerybyteresa.com

How Many Shades of Burgundy?!?

Where has this week gone, cannot believe it's Thursday already. Been very busy this week completing orders, the biggest one being Becca's. Well, the hair combs, pendants, earrings, hair pins, murano glass bracelet and 2 of the wrist corsages have been completed. I have 2 more wrist corsages and their ribbons left to do tonight.
Talking of ribbon, how many shades of burgundy are there? The sash in Becca's bridesmaids' dresses are burgundy with a slight purple hint to it. It has been so hard trying to match it and believe me i have tried locally and on the internet. Today I came across a little fabric shop in Gloucester and in there was some satin binding which matches their sash exactly, phew!!! I like things to be exact so very happy now, just have to machine sew it later.
I am meeting Becca this Saturday, so I hope she will be happy with her purchases.
Jennifer, another bride client, is getting married this Saturday, I would just like to wish her all the best on her special day and hope she has many years of happiness.
Jennifer purchased Blodyn - H7 which is going to look absolutely fab in her hair. Jan from Blenheim Photography is capturing her special day, so no doubt I'll hear how it all went and of course see the lovely photos, hopefully!!!
Catch up soon.

Jewellery Consultation!

After a wonderful (very hot!!) week in Italy, Saturday evening involved a lovely visit to Becca and her bridesmaids just outside Cheltenhem. Becca is having 4 adult bridemaids at her wedding on 7th August. They will be wearing dusky pink satin dresses with a burgundy ribbon sash at the waist, which they bought from Coco Designs in Cheltenham.
I took along several hair accessories and jewellery that would be suitable for bridesmaids, and of course my trusted Swarovski Crystal Shade Chart. The girls tried different styles for their hair and matching accessories.
For their hair, they decided to have a hair comb called Myfanwy, which has recently been added to the collection. This flower comb has over 160 swarovski crystals and looks fab in wedding hair.
The Myfanwy comb in this photo is in jet, silver shade and Ab crystal. Becca and the girls have decided on burgundy, light rose and Ab crystal. They will also have a matching Myfanwy and ribbon wrist corsage, simple pendant necklace and drop earrings.
I also popped into Coco Designs on Monday to pick up some samples of the colours used in their dresses. I was very lucky to see their dresses hanging up in the shop, you girls are going to look gorgeous....but obviously not as gorgeous as Becca is going to be. Can't wait to see the photos!
I have started on these pieces now so will update this blog in the next day or so with photos. Right have to work now and possibly enjoy the sun before seeing another bride, Kerry, later this afternoon.
